Bifrost Crypto: Bifrost Network Guide
Bifrost crypto refers to the Bifrost Network, a Substrate-based blockchain engineered for multichain interoperability, Ethereum Virtual Machine compatibility, a unified token standard, and community-driven governance tailored to Web3 and DeFi applications. Its native token, Bfc, is used for staking and rewards, governance voting, and certain network operations.
Bifrost’s interoperability approach combines relayer-based messaging with contract-level standards so applications can move value and instructions across chains with consistent controls.
Overview
Bifrost Network is a public blockchain that exposes an Ethereum-compatible API and developer tooling. Its protocol-first multichain design enables decentralized cross-chain messaging so DApps can work with assets from multiple blockchains. In practice, this supports workflows such as cross-chain swaps, lending and borrowing, multichain asset management in wallets, and DeFi products that rely on assets originating on other networks. The public materials referenced in this entry do not consistently identify a single set of founders, so the founding team is not listed here.
Technology
Cross-Chain Communication Protocol
The Cross-Chain Communication Protocol uses socket contracts and independent relayers to bridge interactions across blockchains. When a request triggers an event on Bifrost or an external chain such as Ethereum, relayers carry those events between contracts until all steps complete. Multiple relayers add redundancy, timeouts roll back in case of failure, and limiting outbound high-fee calls helps control costs.
Components
Users initiate a cross-chain call by submitting a request to a socket contract, which gathers required funds and invokes target functions on other networks. Relayers deliver validator updates for access control, off-chain data such as price feeds or Bitcoin block hashes, and events that orchestrate multichain workflows.
- Socket contracts that emit and handle cross-chain events (e.g., minting, lending).
- Built-in DeFi module exposing financial operations as callable methods.
- Oracle manager aggregating external data and providing on-chain oracle services.

Protocol Design
To work within smart contract limits, only data hashes are stored on-chain, with comparisons used instead of full payload storage. Failed transactions are explicitly logged via an additional call to ensure accurate state tracking.
Because smart contracts lack efficient utilities like array sorting, senders provide pre-sorted inputs to reduce computation. Relayer signatures are aggregated on Bifrost before a single external submission to cut fees. The Validator Synchronization Protocol keeps validator sets mirrored on external chains so socket contracts enforce current access rules.
Pockie Wallet: Overview and Fit
Pockie is a multichain wallet focused on simplicity and safety.
- Gas top-ups to avoid stuck transactions.
- Detailed activity history.
- Bulk wallet imports for easier management.
- Threat detection to reduce scams.
For users who want a straightforward multichain wallet experience, Pockie is generally a good option, though real-world safety still depends on careful key management and verifying what you sign.
BTCFi: Bitcoin-Collateral DeFi Platform
BTCFi is a decentralized finance platform that lets Bitcoin holders borrow, lend, and earn yield while keeping BTC as collateral in a collateralized debt position-style system. Users mint the Bitcoin-backed stablecoin BtcUsd at competitive rates. Thanks to cross-chain integration, BtcUsd and BTCFi utilities extend beyond Bifrost to a wider DeFi landscape.

Governance
Bifrost uses on-chain governance so token holders can create and vote on proposals, with network changes decided by referendum. A public forum supports broader discussion. A General Council initially appointed by the foundation will transition to elections, allowing Bfc holders to choose members aligned with long-term goals.
Council
The Council manages treasury spending, appoints the Technical Committee, and can cancel malicious referenda. When turnout is low, a prime member—selected by the highest votes in a round—represents the Council. Nonvoting members default to the prime member’s decision.
Technical Committee
Chosen by the Council, the Technical Committee provides checks and balances. It can cancel hostile proposals, nullify Council-originated motions if needed, and fast-track urgent items. Members hold veto authority, and a single veto can void a proposal and temporarily block resubmission. Membership is not permanent and requires holding Bfc.
Bfc Token
Bfc is the native token of Bifrost Network. Its inflation adjusts with staking participation, directing rewards to validators and nominators to encourage staking. Holding unstaked Bfc carries an opportunity cost due to gradual dilution.
Bfc can be purchased on centralized exchanges that list it and may also be acquired via on-chain swaps where Bfc (or bridged representations) trade against other assets. Market capitalization and 24-hour trading volume change continuously; check live market data for current figures. Cryptocurrencies priced under $1 can still be highly speculative, and unit price alone does not indicate growth potential.
Tokenomics
Total supply is 2.37 billion tokens, allocated as follows.
| Allocation Category | Percentage |
|---|---|
| Private Round | 25% |
| Reserve | 20% |
| Ecosystem | 20% |
| Team | 20% |
| Marketing | 10.4% |
| Advisors | 4% |
| Public Sale (initial decentralized exchange offering) | 0.6% |
Unified Token
The Unified Token model merges the same asset from multiple chains into one token contract on Bifrost. For example, Dai from Ethereum and Bnb Chain becomes a single Unified Dai, simplifying liquidity handling and reducing DApp complexity.
